Together Forever

February 20
It was a great idea to go to Friar Lawrence. He came up with a plan that I think will work. He has this potion that will make me look dead. Cool, huh? He’s going to send someone to tell Romeo what is going on, so he’ll know I’m not really dead.

I’ll drink the potion tonight before I go to bed. Everyone will think I caught some fatal disease and died. I feel bad for making my family and friends suffer. They’re going to feel terrible when they think I’m dead. But what else can I do? What is more important than love? Besides, when I wake up and can see my beautiful Romeo’s face smiling down at me, it will all be worth it.

I can’t wait until I wake up and I can spend the rest of my life in Romeo’s arms. Wish me luck!

The Ups and Downs of True Love

February 19
Last night, Romeo and I had our wedding night together. It was so beautiful. I’m too much of a lady to share the details, but let’s just say it was everything I’d ever dreamed it would be.

Out of the blue last night, my parents tell me I’m going to marry Paris in two days! I have to come up with a plan to avoid getting married until Romeo and I can figure out a way to be together for the rest of our lives. I don’t care what it takes. I’ll do anything. The only people that know what’s going on are the Nurse and Friar Lawrence. Nurse is worthless. She hasn’t had an idea since 1409, but the Friar is pretty cool. He’s the one that married us, so he believes in true love. Hopefully, he can help us figure out a plan.

*&!# Feud!!

February 18
Noooooooooo! That stupid feud! It’s going to ruin everything. Tybalt, my idiot cousin, got in a fight with the Montagues and killed Romeo’s best friend Mercutio. Then something got into Romeo and he killed Tybalt. Tybalt could be a pain sometimes, but he was my cousin. I can’t believe the man I love more than my own life killed my own flesh and blood. The worst thing is that the Prince banished Romeo. What if I never see him again? I’d rather die than live one day without him.

Here Comes the Bride

February 17
Things are happening so fast that I can’t believe it. Romeo and I got married! We’re actually married!!! Married, for always. Friar Lawrence married us in his cell yesterday. I am so happy. I just know that we are meant to be together forever. I feel like we’re two halves of the same person. I just couldn’t live without him.

I know it’s not going to be simple, though, with him being a Montague and all, but true love conquers all, doesn’t it.

Love at First Sight!

February 15
Oh my gosh! I can’t believe it. I have fallen completely and totally in love. Really, truly, madly in love. It’s not like with Julian or with Marco. They were just boys. Romeo is a real man, my soulmate. Our eyes met across the room at the party, and it was love at first sight. I felt like we were the only people in the room. He kissed me and it felt like we were floating on a cloud.

There’s a downside, though. Do you believe it? He’s a Montague! I am so freaked out. He almost got in a fight with my stupid cousin Tybalt at the party. Thank goodness, my dad came to the rescue and calmed everybody down, or we would never have met.

I’m going to send Nurse to talk to Romeo and see if we can hook up. Nurse is a sweetie, but she is a flake. I know I can trust her, but I don’t know if she can handle the job. Anyway, she’s all I’ve got.

I’ll just die if I can’t see Romeo right away. I can still taste that kiss. Now I know what real grown-up love is all about.
